If you’re the type of person who’s into tech and its related news, you must be well aware of the recent issue of Huawei with Goggle and its extensions. As a response, the company released a new operating system called the Harmony OS along with an incredible wearable Huawei Watch 3. This is the first device that uses the Harmony OS. The Huawei Watch 3 design also deserves some special attention.

While the previous watches of the brand looked like regular smartwatches, with Watch 3, Huawei has tried to acquire more of a traditional look. So without further ado, let’s dive into further details.

Overview of Huawei Watch 3

Huawei modified its watch GT series’ specifications, features, and design and released the new Watch 3. No doubt, the company has brought into the market numerous outstanding wearables and smart devices. They have managed to continue this trend through Watch 3 that operates on its new OS.

The software runs smoothly as of now, but it’ll be interesting to see how it develops over the course of time. Currently, there are a limited number of apps that you can download. They include the basics such as fitness tracking, music, sleeping schedule, steps count, heart rate, and location tracking.

The goal here is to offer the necessary features while also keeping lower price rates compared to the brand’s competitors. It supports certain third-party services and will definitely come out with a wider selection of apps soon.

The most outstanding design features of Watch 3 include the rotating crown, larger case, and the AMOLED display. Watch 3 lets you choose between 30 pre-installed faces, while you can also download more from the store. You can even customize your watch face by creating a short video using your phone.

It comes attached with a leatherette strap that you can easily switch with the straps of your regular analogue watch. It has a 46 mm stainless steel case and a ceramic back case with a sleek finish. The screen size is 1.43 inches, which might be too big for some users, but the visual information offered makes it worth the purchase.

The AMOLED display of 466 x 466-pixel resolution features a touchscreen. It allows convenient gestures like swiping and holding for quick operations. The angled bevel incorporated in the previous watches has now been replaced by the hardened glass placed over the screen. It curves at the edges giving the watch a rounder look.

There are two buttons on its right. One of them is the textured crown. It is slightly offset for easy access and provides an easy grip with tactile feedback. Rotating the crown will either scroll the screen up and down or zoom in and out. The other button lets you steer through menus, return to the home screen, or launch the workout mode.

The exclusive in-built features of the Huawei Watch 3 include a skin temperature sensor, a barometer, eSim support, and Huawei’s Personal Voice Assistant, Celia. The best part about Watch 3 is that it not only connects with Android phones but can also be paired with an iPhone.

If you’re ready to commit, there’s a lot to explore in the Huawei Watch 3.
